After I graduated high school, I began to pursue my education degree and I graduated from The Richard Stockton College in Galloway, New Jersey. In 2005, I married my husband, Art and became an elementary school teacher for a few years. In 2007, I gave birth to our first son, and sixteen months later I gave birth to our second, and twenty months later I gave birth to our third! With that, came so much joy and responsibility (and sleepless nights) so we decided that I would resign and stay at home with them for a few years. It was in those years that God revealed to me a desire to write children’s books. This was not something that I wanted to accomplish my whole life, so it was a little overwhelming for me to conceive. Even though this dream of mine was increasing each day, I put it on hold because being a Mommy to “3 under 3” was exhausting!
After the boys were a little older I began to teach night classes at Cumberland County College in Vineland, New Jersey. This was a wonderful experience for me and was a nice segue into my next phase of life. During this time, I decided to pursue my Master’s Degree in Reading. In 2014, I earned that degree from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. I also earned my Reading Specialist Certification, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Currently, I am an Early Literacy Specialist at Children’s Literacy Initiative in Philadelphia, PA. For more than 4 years I have eagerly awaited for “Clarence” to be born! It was a true labor of love and I hope that you enjoy sharing it with your family and friends!
“Clarence: The Story of an Italian Boy with Big Ears and Big Problems” is set to be released in April 2017.
